Moms, you need to understand that before you owe to someone else, you owe to yourself. And there is nothing wrong with it.
All you need to do is learn time management.
Have you ever felt the vacuum when you are left behind? You work day and night for others and no one values your effort. That’s not because the other one is mean. It’s because you are not learning to love yourself.

Now I have reached a point where my little one plays with her toy laptop beside me imitating herself as a writer!!
Why Self-Care Is Important For Moms
Motherhood is an incredible yet challenging journey of a lifetime. Between endless tasks, sleepless nights, and the constant emotional rollercoaster of raising kids, it’s easy to lose yourself in the daily grind. However, neglecting your well-being can lead to burnout, resentment, and decreased ability to care for your family.
Self-care recharges a mom from the daily chores. It also sets a positive example for kids to take care of themselves in the future. Self-care also boosts creativity and lets one see things from a new perspective.
So there’s nothing wrong with learning to love yourself, moms!
2. Relationship with parents after marriage

You were their little angel before marriage. Even with a bruise on the knee, you complained as if your knee was damaged. Soon, a man entered your life, and your parents would not even know about these silly injuries. Later, you gave birth to a baby and did not even complain of any suffering!!
Don’t you think this is less than a full turn in your parents’ lives, too?
Marriage and children add a beautiful new chapter to your life. It also modifies your relationship with your parents. It’s like walking on familiar streets that now have new buildings – the landscape is the same, yet everything feels different. I know that is insane, but it’s true.
Moms, all you need to know is to learn to navigate your evolving bond with your parents.
New Roles, New Dynamics
Good News! You have become grandparents.
With the arrival of your child, your parents have new roles and responsibilities to take care of. Let them be. It is a new world for them, too. Give them time to gel with their grandchildren.
After all, their experience will make your motherhood journey smoother.
Difference in Parenting Style
Times have changed, and so have parenting styles. Those tips and tricks which you were raised with might not work now.
Talk openly with your parents about your expectations and preferences, and be receptive to their insights. When disagreements arise, focus on finding solutions.
Instead, you can ask them to visit your paediatrician (along with you). You can discuss and make changes as per the suggestion.
I encountered the flu when my daughter was around four months old. As for my mother, I needed to halt breastfeeding in sickness. This might hamper my baby. We went to the doctor, who ensured it was safe.
Understand the Importance of Their Time
Someone taking care of your child is no less than a blessing.
Dear Moms, you are lucky if your parents visit you/stay with you. But you must understand the importance of their time.
They are at your place, leaving behind their comfort zones. Taking care of a child is not a joke. Doing this in their 50s or 60s might require a lot of adjustments in their day-to-day lives.
As a daughter, you should take care of them.
Find ways to help them out. Here is a list of ways you can help your parents.
- Check and order medicines (if any) in advance.
- Take them for a walk occasionally.
- Encourage them to visit friends and family around.
- Let them stay the way they want to.
Staying Connected: Nurture the Bond with Distance
Dear daughters, the least you can do to make your parents happy is to stay connected.
Schedule Regular Visits
Plan regular visits to see your parents. This could be a weekend trip every few months or a longer vacation together. Moms, you have no idea how lively your parents might feel after this. Seeing each other allows for a deeper connection and creating shared memories. This will also help kids develop a strong connection with their grandparents.
Embrace Technology
If you live far from your parents, you can use technology to stay connected. Video calls and text messages are your friends here.
Share videos and pictures of each other. Your parents can be your YouTube and Google if you need any advice. They are just a call away!
Surprise Them on Special Occasions
Plan celebrations like birthdays or holidays. Gift them something that they can connect with.
I can help you with this Moms!
- Best Mom In The World Wooden Trophy – Your Mom is the best mother in the world. This can be one of the best Mother’s Day gifts for mom.
- It’s your father’s birthday, and you want to surprise him. Grab some birthday surprise ideas for your father. The Echo Dot is one among them. The best part of this device is the reminder. You can also set timings for any particular songs to play each day at a set time. (The Hanuman Chalisa plays every morning at 6).
3. Husband and Wife Relationship

Parenthood can be great when your teammate (partner) stands by you. A supportive spouse can turn a house into a home.
A good husband-wife relationship takes time to nourish. Here are some successful marriage tips:
Love and Respect Each Other
Love and respect are the most important pillars of any relationship. Both of them also go hand in hand.
Moms, for a good husband-wife relationship, all you can do is expect the same level of love and respect that you can shower.
Discuss your boundaries and Concerns
To maintain a good husband and wife relationship, discuss and set boundaries. This does not require a checklist. You can talk and come to a solution.
Here is a list that you might consider.
- Discuss starting a family.
- Kids screentime.
- Childcare and household responsibilities.
- Post pictures on social media.
- Kids schooling.
Both of us were clear we wouldn’t rush sending our daughter to school(It’s a trend these days). To look after our daughter, I preferred working from home. We conversed in our mother tongue to make her fluent in it also.
Balance Responsibilities and Teamwork
For a strong husband and wife relationship, balancing responsibilities and managing teamwork is important.
Both of you can share household tasks and childcare after analysing each other’s schedules. Always remember that flexibility is also needed. Be adaptable and willing to adjust responsibilities if your partner is feeling overwhelmed or there’s a change in schedules.
I generally take the kitchen charge. But sometimes when I’m busy or feeling too tired/do not wish to do kitchen chores, my husband takes the lead. We often exchange tasks for a change, also.
Resolve Conflict Constructively
Disagreements between spouses are normal. After all, two adults with different backgrounds and schools of thought cannot always be on the same page.
Fighting like cats and dogs will not drive any solution.
But resolving it constructively is a smarter approach. Focus on problem-solving with respectful communication.
